Tasman Bay Olives Limited was established in 1998 as the vehicle for processing and marketing the olives produced from three groves in the Nelson region of New Zealand.

2005 has been a year of great activity for all staff at Tasman Bay Olives. Highlights include :
· More medals at the Annual Olives New Zealand Awards in October
· Medal at the Los Angeles County Fair in May
· Visits to our grove and shop/press complex by four television crews and a US Food & Wine syndicated writer.
· Certification by Olives New Zealand for product quality assurance
· Development of our own olive harvester
· Excellent market acceptance of our olive oil/dukkah/sauce dishes pack
· Development of export markets particularly the United States
· Development of a half day workshop – “The Magic of Olive Oil” as part of New Zealand Creative Tourism

ELOVI New Zealand awards 2005

We are very pleased to report the awards our Extra Virgin Olive Oils won at the annual New Zealand Olive Association competition 2005. We received:

Gold medal 2005 ELOVI – Frantoio/Leccino blend
Silver medal 2005 ELOVI – Frantoio single cultivar
Silver medal 2005 ELOVI – Leccino single cultivar

These award winning oils are now available – we suggest enquiries be made early as demand will be high.


Retail Shop

Our retail outlet adjacent to our production site at Hortons Road in Tasman, Nelson, is where all ELOVI products are available, plus more. All customers, including tour groups, are encouraged to visit year round, but particularly during June and July when the press is operating. A viewing window provides an excellent vantage point of the press without the noise. Only the operators wear ear muffs!
